Hello Grade 4 Boys Lacrosse Families,
Welcome to lacrosse season! Grade 4 Boys lacrosse has had an impressive registration. Twenty-eight boys are currently registered. We are going to have a blast!
Practice will be 5:30 – 7:00 on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Nut Plains Field. The season is scheduled to start March 27 and run through June 4. We may also attempt to get some mid-late March practice dates if fields are playable…stay tuned.
With the number of players, we have decided to split the roster into 2 teams for game play. This will maximize playing time for everyone. For game play, the ‘Green’ team will be coached by Ken Alberti, Ian Smith, and Kate Close; ‘White’ will be coached by Nate Jacobson, Ryan Hocking and Mike Falana. During practice, teams and players will practice together.
Lacrosse Gear:
Players will need helmet, shoulder pads (must meet NOCSAE standard), elbow pads, gloves, and lacrosse stick.
Players should also have a mouth guard, cup, cleats, and water bottle.
Game Play:
Games will be played on a smaller field with 8 on 8. Teams will have a goalie, 2 defenders, 3 middies, and 2 attack. Players are allowed to stick check, but not body check.
We look forward to leading this squad of eager athletes! Our focus will be teaching lacrosse fundamentals while competing in a fun & respectful fashion!
