Registrar reports to Vice President and works extensively with Boys and Girls Coordinator before the season begins.
The Registrar is the main contact person for registration for all players. The heavier responsiblilty falls between January and April of the lacrosse season. They need to answer all questions with regards to registration; must have the availabilty to answer emails and phone calls during the upcoming season; responsible for tracking registration confirmations. The position requires someone who will keep all registration confidential to Board Members only.
Primary responsibilities include:
Tracking who registers and then splitting them up according to what team they were assigned; both preseason and after teams are split by skill levels;
Keeping rosters updated and communicates with coaches, Treasurer and VP as needed;
First Point of contact for Financial Aid Questions;
Ensures all forms (such as Conny, Code of Conduct, Medical etc) are filled out and returned to the necessary people;
Ensures that all payments are made; communication with Treasurer as necessary for all finanical situations that require assistance;
Helps set up coaches packets; working with Team Managers to ensure timely retrieval of all documents necessary to play lacrosse wiht the GYLA.
Submissions of all rosters to CONNY as needed by set deadlines, and report all registrants to USLacrosse for approval; secure payment to be sent by Treasurer in a timely manner;
This volunteer position requires an organized individual who is consistently able to review their daily emails and phone calls (is necesary for successful registration process); able to work with the Board to ensure a successful start of season and can keep all information confidential. This position will require participation at GYLA Board meetings monthly (required in months of November -April).
