FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

It is the goal of GYLA to provide children the opportunity to learn and play the game of lacrosse. We will make every effort to assist families who need financial assistance through funds set aside by the GYLA Board and companies offering equipment and sponsorship to players who qualify.  Full Registration Financial assistance is available to those who request it and qualify under the guidelines set forth in the GYLA Bylaws.  The Board of Directors will meet in a closed session to discuss any financial assistance requests and privacy of the family will always be a priority.

Criteria for financial aid are the same as that for the Guilford Public Schools Free Lunch Program.  The guideline used by the Board is the Connecticut State Department of Education Income Guidelines for Determining Eligibility of Free and Reduced meals (Form 7CFR Part 245.3(a)).  This guideline is used to determine who qualifies for financial assistance and how much to award.

If you provided this information to your child's school earlier this year, you need only to provide a copy of that document to the Board.

If you did not apply for that assistance, you may write a letter to the Board explaining your situation.

Written requests for financial assistance, accompanied by either a copy of the Form or a letter explaining your situation should be sent to either:

         or to:

          GYLA
